National Storage has demonstrated its commitment to community time and again. From offering support to community groups and charities needing storage, donating to various causes, or sponsoring fundraising events, National Storage has never shied away from giving back to local communities.
This is why we are so incredibly proud to announce the official launch of our community support program: NS Cares.
Here at National Storage, we are committed to participating in the communities in which we operate. This involves contributing to local, regional and national causes throughout Australia and New Zealand.
NS Cares was born out of our desire to support charitable organisations that aim to create safer communities. By partnering with like-minded organisations, we aim to facilitate tangible results and change.
Inspired by Care, one of National Storage’s core values, NS Cares will demonstrate a commitment to creating safe spaces, and we are incredibly excited to announce four charity partnerships that embody this concept.
We are continuing our long-standing support of the Mater Foundation, and their International Women’s Day Fun Run. This event raises much needed funds and awareness for breast cancer research and helps to create safe spaces for women through personalised and practical support.
In addition, we have partnered with Lifeline to help create safe spaces for people to reach out to in times of crisis. Lifeline’s telephone, text, online and face-to-face crisis support services exist to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.
Excitingly, we are adding two new national partners to our NS Cares program: Youngcare and RizeUp.
Through our work with Youngcare, we will be helping young people with severe physical disabilities choose where they live, who they live with and how they live their lives. Youngcare’s Home Support Grants program helps to create choice, equality, freedom and independence for young people with severe physical disabilities, and will be the focus of our support.
Lastly, we are looking forward to working closely with the team at RizeUp, to assist in providing safe spaces for those starting a new life free from domestic and family violence, through their national Homes Program. Our storage partnership will enable their teams to collate, store, and distribute essential items to those in need.
