We are proud to announce that we have taken on the role of Presenting Partner of the 2023 International Women’s Day Fun Run (IWDFR), hosted by the Mater Foundation. The event will take place on Sunday, 12th of March 2023 in Brisbane, and virtually, and is now titled the International Women’s Day Fun Run presented by National Storage.
After many years of sponsorship of this incredible event, dating all the way back to 2016, we were offered the opportunity to take over the Presenting Partner title for the 2023 event. And as advocates for breast cancer awareness and fundraising initiatives, we were thrilled to accept this offer, and to subsequently increase our sponsorship.
Managing Director Andrew Catsoulis says, “Breast cancer is an insidious disease that impacts almost every family in some way. As a husband, son and father of daughters, I am aware of the life-altering and often tragic consequences that ensue from a breast cancer diagnosis. Breast cancer research, patient support and awareness are causes near and dear to our hearts. Indeed, many of our National Storage family have been profoundly affected in one way or another by this terrible disease.”
Registrations launched on Pink Friday, 13th of January, and support of the cause has already been so evident within our local communities. We look forward to our continued work alongside the Mater Foundation in the lead up to the event day on the 12th of March, with a shared goal to increase awareness and raise more funds for women with breast cancer.
The announcement of our expanded sponsorship of the IWDFR came some five months after we launched our community support initiative, NS Cares, within which the Mater Foundation is formally recognised as a National Partner. Becoming the Presenting Partner of the Mater Foundation’s 2023 IWDFR further proves our commitment to the communities in which we operate, and our innate desire to have a profound impact on worthy causes across Australia and New Zealand.
