FAQs

How does bubble wrap work?

Bubble plastic is a type of packaging material that is comprised of air trapped bubbles. This is crafted to ensure that fragile, bubble wrapped goods are cushioned and protected from the outer world while in transit. This uber-soft material is not only helpful, but fun. From little kids to big kids, left-over bubble wrap is a sure fire hit in the distraction and entertainment department.

How much bubble wrap packaging do I need?

The amount of bubble roll required to wrap your goods depends on the number, type and size of the items being stored or transported. Are you wrapping up a few prized picture frames, or a whole cabinet of glassware? Your answer will inform your purchasing decision. Make sure that you sit down and create a list of all of the items that may require bubble wrap before making your purchase on our Box Shop. Our large bubble wrap comes in 1500mm width x 1000mm length rolls, so be sure to consider these measurements when listing and measuring your bubble wrap dependent items.

Is bubble wrap recyclable?

Short answer: yes you can recycle your bubble wrap! If you are unable to reuse or repurpose your bubble wrap, and you are conscious of the environmental repercussion of disposing of it with your regular waste, you can recycle it via the proper soft plastic recycling process. Soft plastics are mostly rejected by council kerbside recycling bins, as they tend to get caught in the machinery. However, if you’re looking to be more eco-friendly, you can look up your local soft plastics recycling service and drop off your bubble wrap at your local drop off location. Without much extra effort, you can ensure that your moving materials are being properly disposed of via an eco-conscious method.

How do I bubble wrap glasses?

If you are looking to transport glassware between homes or storage facilities, make sure to follow the following steps to ensure that your items are best protected. Firstly, lay the item you wish to protect on a flat surface. Next, lay the plastic bubble wrap roll with the bubble side facing upwards. Place the item in the wrap and begin to roll your item in the wrap several times over to ensure protection. Now, simply pack the item in a box as desired and you are all set to go. Bubble packing is an essential item when it comes to moving glasses safely and securely.
